Krishna Janmashtami Celebration 2026 – A Divine Blend of Ayurveda, Devotion & Team Spirit

The Krishna Janmashtami Celebration 2026 was celebrated with immense devotion, cultural grandeur, and enthusiastic participation at Punarnava Kalakshetra in Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Badami. The event brought together the Principal, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and students to honor the divine birth of Lord Sri Krishna, whose teachings continue to inspire righteousness, wisdom, compassion, and holistic living. The beautifully decorated auditorium, adorned with peacock feathers, vibrant floral arrangements, traditional diyas, and an elegant Krishna-themed backdrop, reflected the spiritual essence of the occasion and created an atmosphere of peace and celebration.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by soulful devotional prayers and Krishna Bhajans that filled the campus with divine energy. Faculty members and staff participated wholeheartedly, symbolizing unity and respect for India's rich cultural heritage. As an institution dedicated to Ayurveda, the celebration emphasized the timeless connection between Ayurvedic philosophy and Lord Krishna's ideals of balanced living, self-discipline, and harmony between body, mind, and soul. The highlight of the celebration was the much-awaited Dahi Handi Competition organized between the 1st Professional BAMS and 2nd Professional BAMS students. Both teams demonstrated exceptional coordination, courage, strategic planning, balance, and remarkable teamwork while constructing an impressive human pyramid to reach the suspended handi. The competition generated tremendous excitement as students, faculty, and staff enthusiastically cheered for the participants. The successful breaking of the Dahi Handi marked a moment of joy and victory, symbolizing determination, unity, and collective effort—qualities that are equally essential in the practice of Ayurveda and medical education.

The event concluded with the offering of Mangala Arati, melodious devotional bhajans, and the distribution of prasada to all attendees, leaving everyone with a sense of spiritual fulfillment and happiness. In the competition, 2nd Professional BAMS emerged as the Winners, while 1st Professional BAMS secured the Runner-up position for their outstanding performance.
