SANSKRITA SAPTAHA CELEBRATION
Sanskrita Saptaha was celebrated from 20th to 29th August with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of Sanskrit and encouraging students to develop interest and proficiency in the language. Various academic and co-curricular activities were organized throughout the week with enthusiastic participation from the students.
Samhita Parayana was conducted as part of the Sanskrita Saptaha celebrations. Students participated in the recitation of selected passages, thereby developing interest in Sanskrit literature and improving their pronunciation, fluency, and confidence in Sanskrit recitation.
A Vadatu Sanskrit spoken Sanskrit class was organized to encourage students to use Sanskrit in their daily communication. The sessions focused on simple Sanskrit conversations and commonly used expressions, helping students gain confidence in speaking Sanskrit.
An Ukta Lekhana activity was conducted to improve students’ listening, writing, and language skills. Students actively participated in the activity and demonstrated their understanding of Sanskrit words and sentences through written expression.
The Sanskrita Saptaha celebrations concluded with a Valedictory Program on 29th August. The program provided an opportunity to reflect on the various activities conducted during the week and to encourage students to continue learning and using Sanskrit.
The chief guest and resource person for the program was Shri Arveti Aneesh, Assistant Professor, who delivered an informative and engaging talk on “Anvaya Lekhana.” He explained the importance and methodology of Anvaya Lekhana and highlighted its usefulness in understanding Sanskrit sentences and texts effectively.
The program concluded with a note of appreciation to all the students and faculty members who actively participated in and contributed to the successful conduct of the Sanskrita Saptaha celebrations.

SVPVV Samstha’s Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Badami, hosted a significant guest lecture as part of the World Elephant Day, organized by department of Dravyaguna Vigyan. The event was held on 30 th August 2025 (Saturday) at 3:00 Pm in the Vagbhata Auditorium.
The event was graced by our guests Dr.Jagadesh G Mitti, Dr. B. M. Mulkipatil (Principal), Dr. Girish N. Danappagoudar (Vice Principal) and Dr. S. B. Nidagundi (Academic Dean).
The lecture was delivered by Dr.Jagadesh G Mitti, Professor & HOD ,Department of PG & Ph.D studies in RSBK ,JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru. on the topic “Recent developments in Pharmacovigilence in Ayurveda Practice” aimed at exploring the integration of modern research with traditional Ayurvedic practices to develop novel solutions in the field of healthcare.
