The auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with profound devotion and cultural grandeur at Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Badami on 14 September 2026. The entire college campus resonated with spiritual fervour as students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff gathered at Punarnava Kalakshetra to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge. The celebration commenced at 8:00 AM with a traditional procession, during which the beautifully adorned idol of Lord Ganesha was ceremoniously brought to the venue amidst devotional chants, music, and heartfelt enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere of unity and reverence throughout the institution.
Following the religious ceremonies, the celebration continued with an energetic series of cultural and recreational activities organized exclusively for the BAMS students. Colourful dance performances, entertaining games, and interactive group activities encouraged creativity, confidence, teamwork, and joyful participation among students from different professional years. The cultural programme not only provided a platform to showcase artistic talents but also strengthened interpersonal relationships and fostered a vibrant campus environment. A community lunch was subsequently arranged for students, faculty, and staff, reflecting the institutional values of equality, togetherness, and mutual respect that form an integral part of Ayurvedic culture and the Gurukula tradition.
The day concluded with the traditional Ganesh Visarjana in the evening, where the college family bid a respectful farewell to Lord Ganesha with devotional songs, prayers, and expressions of gratitude. The celebration beautifully blended spirituality, cultural heritage, and the timeless philosophy of Ayurveda, emphasizing that true education extends beyond classrooms by nurturing ethical values, compassion, discipline, and collective responsibility. The successful organization of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 stands as another memorable milestone in the vibrant cultural life of SVPRAMC, Badami, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to holistic education and the preservation of India’s rich Ayurvedic heritage.
