Cadaver Receiving Programme and Dead Body & Organ Donation Awareness Programme

A solemn Cadaver Receiving Programme was conducted at Punarnava Kalakshetra, Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Badami. The cadaver of Late Smt. Gouramma Shrishaila Patil, aged 74 years, was received and handed over to the institution by Dr. Ramannavar Charitable Trust, Bailahongal, Belagavi, following all prescribed procedures and with utmost respect and dignity. The programme was attended by the family members of the deceased, teaching faculty and students of the institution.

The programme commenced with a solemn prayer and Cadaver Oath-Taking Ceremony, emphasizing the sacred responsibility of students towards the cadaver and the values of gratitude, respect and compassion in medical education. A condolence ceremony was also held to pay heartfelt tribute to the departed soul and to acknowledge the noble decision of the family to donate the body for the advancement of medical education.

As part of the programme, Dr. Ramannavar delivered an insightful Dead Body and Organ Donation Awareness Speech, explaining the importance of voluntary dead body and organ donation and its invaluable contribution to medical education, healthcare and service to humanity. The session was enriched with meaningful audio-visual presentations and video clippings showcasing the activities of Dr. Ramannavar Charitable Trust since its establishment in 2010, creating awareness among students and faculty about the significance of voluntary donation.

The programme served as a deeply meaningful educational and humanitarian occasion, inspiring students to recognize the dignity of body donation and the importance of serving society. The institution expressed its sincere gratitude to the family of Late Smt. Gouramma Shrishaila Patil and Dr. Ramannavar Charitable Trust, Bailahongal, Belagavi, for their valuable contribution and support in promoting the noble cause of body and organ donation.
