With the initiative of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Badami celebrated Guru Purnima with great devotion and reverence on 29th July 2026 at the Vagbhat Auditorium. The event was organized to express heartfelt gratitude towards teachers, mentors, and guides who play an invaluable role in shaping the lives and careers of future Ayurvedic professionals. Faculty members, students, and staff enthusiastically participated in the celebration, reflecting the rich Indian tradition of honoring the Guru.
The programme was graced by Dr. Basavaraj M. Mulkipatil, Principal, whose presence inspired the gathering with his words on the importance of discipline, ethics, and lifelong learning in the field of Ayurveda. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. V. Y. Bhagawat, Senior Physician, who delivered an enlightening address emphasizing the timeless Guru–Shishya tradition and its significance in preserving the values of holistic healthcare and professional excellence.
A special highlight of the event was the Guru Pada Pooje, performed with devotion by the students as a symbol of respect, gratitude, and humility towards their teachers. The ceremony beautifully reflected the spiritual essence of Guru Purnima and reinforced the values of reverence, knowledge, and service that form the foundation of Ayurvedic education. Cultural presentations and heartfelt tributes by students added warmth and meaning to the celebration, making it a memorable occasion for everyone present.
