On the occasion of the 11th Ayurveda Day – 2026, Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Badami, organized a Mass Prakriti Assessment and Lifestyle Counselling Camp on 18 September 2026 at Government PU College, Badami. The program was conducted by the Department of Ayurveda Samhita Siddhanta & Sanskrit with the objective of creating awareness among students about the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, the importance of individual constitution (Prakriti), and the role of healthy lifestyle practices in maintaining overall well-being. The initiative highlighted the relevance of Ayurveda in preventive healthcare and encouraged students to understand the importance of adopting healthy habits from an early age.
Following the assessment, individualized lifestyle counselling was provided to the participating students, focusing on essential aspects of health, including balanced nutrition, appropriate daily and seasonal routines, adequate sleep, regular physical activity, and healthy lifestyle practices. The counselling emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced routine, developing healthy food habits, managing daily activities appropriately, and adopting preventive measures to support physical and mental well-being. The program also highlighted the significance of understanding individual needs while making lifestyle choices, in accordance with the principles of Ayurveda. Through these interactions, students were encouraged to incorporate appropriate health-promoting practices into their daily lives.
As a further component of the program, Prakriti Parikshan was carried out using the Nadi Tarangini device, introducing students to a technology-assisted approach to Ayurvedic assessment. This activity complemented the educational objectives of the camp by demonstrating the application of contemporary tools in the context of Ayurvedic health assessment. The program successfully combined health awareness, Prakriti assessment, and lifestyle counselling to promote the importance of preventive healthcare among young people. The initiative reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to spreading Ayurvedic knowledge and encouraging healthy living in the community. The camp concluded as a meaningful health-awareness activity under the observance of the 11th Ayurveda Day, contributing to greater awareness of Ayurveda and its relevance to everyday life.
