The Department of Ayurveda Samhita Siddhant & Sanskrit, in collaboration with the Agastya Sanskrit Club, under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized AYUR QUIZ–2026 on 19th June 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Vagbhat Auditorium of Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Badami. The event was organized with the objective of promoting academic excellence, strengthening the knowledge of Ayurveda among students, and encouraging an interactive learning environment through healthy competition.

The programme was presented by Dr. Krishna R. Founder of AYURRESHMI, Mysuru, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. His inspiring address emphasized the importance of mastering the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, continuous learning, and developing analytical thinking to become competent Ayurvedic physicians. He encouraged students to actively participate in academic activities beyond the classroom and highlighted the role of quizzes in improving knowledge retention, clinical reasoning, and confidence. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. V. B. Sunagad, Professor and Head, Department of Ayurveda Samhita Siddhant & Sanskrit, and was presided over by Dr. B. M. Mulkipatil. The programme was further honored by the gracious presence of Dr. S. B. Nidagundi, whose encouragement and support added significance to the event. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee in conducting an innovative academic programme that motivates students to explore the vast literature and scientific principles of Ayurveda.

The quiz competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate students representing different batches of the college. The competition comprised multiple rounds designed to assess participants’ knowledge of Ayurveda Samhitas, Siddhanta, Sanskrit, classical concepts, basic medical sciences, current developments in Ayurveda, and general academic aptitude. The questions challenged the participants’ memory, conceptual understanding, analytical ability, and teamwork, making the event both educational and engaging.

Students displayed remarkable enthusiasm, confidence, and competitive spirit throughout the programme. The lively atmosphere in the auditorium reflected the keen interest of participants and the audience alike. Faculty members actively encouraged the students, while interactive discussions during the quiz helped clarify important concepts and enriched the overall learning experience. Such activities serve as an effective platform to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application and inspire students to pursue academic excellence.
