Honouring Womanhood Through Health, Respect, and Equality.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, the Department of Panchakarma, in collaboration with the Department of Swastharakshana & Preventive Medicine (SRPT) and Swasthavritta, under the guidance of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized “Soukhya Naari – यत्रनार्यस्तुपूज्यन्तेरमन्तेतत्रदेवताः“ on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 PM in Lecture Hall No. 05 of Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Badami. The programme was conducted to celebrate womanhood and promote awareness regarding women’s health, dignity, and overall well-being.
The event was graced by Smt. Umadevi I. Pattanashetti, Member of the Governing Council, as the Chief Guest. The programme was further honored by the presence of distinguished guests including Smt. Hema R. Byali, Member of the Governing Council; Smt. Hemalatha Shindhe, Warden of BCM Hostel; Smt. Lakshmi Dabagal, ASHA Mentor; and Smt. Shaila Shiasi, Samudaya Sanghatana Adhikari, Purasabhe, Badami. Their inspiring addresses emphasized the importance of women's empowerment, education, health awareness, and equal opportunities in society.
The programme was held under the esteemed leadership of Dr. B. M. Mulkipatil, Principal, with the gracious presence of Dr. S. B. Nidagundi, Academic Dean, along with members of the Governing Council, faculty, non-teaching staff, and students. The gathering reflected the institution’s commitment to recognizing the invaluable contributions of women and fostering a culture of respect, equality, and inclusiveness within the academic community.

The celebration concluded with an interactive session encouraging participants to adopt healthy lifestyles and prioritize preventive healthcare through Ayurvedic principles. The event successfully conveyed the message of women’s empowerment while reinforcing the significance of physical, mental, and social well-being. Soukhya Naari 2026 served as a meaningful platform to honor women, inspire positive change, and strengthen the institution’s commitment to holistic health, social responsibility, and community engagement.
